Athletic Committee Meeting.

At a meeting of the Athletic Committee last night permission was granted the gymnasium team to take part in an exhibition meet to be held by the Boston Turnverein on May 2. The appointments were approved of J. M. Groves '05, as assistant manager of the University lacrosse team, and of J. A. Sayler 2L., as head coach of the team for the remainder of the season, after Mr. Shea's departure, which will probably occur about May 1. Permission was given the shooting team to enter a dual meet with Yale at New Haven on May 6, and to take part in the intercollegiate shoot the following day.

By a change in the method of awarding class crew numerals the winning class crew only will receive numerals. The method is thus like that used in awarding insignia to the class football and baseball teams. The winning club class crew will receive its club class numerals as formerly.

The Committee voted to authorize the continuance of the collection of athletic statistics which have been compiled during the last two years by H. S. Thompson '99, and to authorize R. D. Wrenn '95 to continue as the University's representative on the Football Rules Committee. It was also voted that a committee of three be appointed to act in conjunction with the chairman of the Athletic Committee and the graduate treasurer, for the purpose of making a report on the financial policy to be followed by the Committee.
