OBITUARIES.

Jesse Henry Jones '56.

Rev. Jesse Henry Jones '56 who spoke on Wendell Phillips in the Union on March 8, died suddenly last Tuesday at his home in Halifax, Massachusetts. He was born in Bellevue, Ontario, and after receiving the degree of A.M. from Harvard in 1856 he graduated from the Andover Theological School in 1861.

Mr. Jones served in the Civil War, was a member of the State Legislature in 1876, and filled a number of pastorates in the Congregational Church. At the time of his death he was president of the Wendell Phillips Memorial Association.

Francis Hugo Krebs M.'59.

Dr. Francis Hugo Krebs M.'59 died last Tuesday at his home in Boston, at the age of eighty-one. Dr. Krebs was born in Prussia and came to this country in 1849. He was a member of many prominent medical societies, and was formerly a professor in the Boston University School of Medicine.

Robert McClellan Read '77.

Dr. Robert M. Read M.'77 died at Ls Angeles, California, last Thursday. He was born in Boston on September 7, 1848, and after a business career of several years entered the Medical School, where he graduated in the class of 1877. Until his departure for California last fall, he was actively engaged in the practice of his profession in Boston.

Edward Lord Clark. 3rd, '07.

Edward Lord Clark, 3rd, '07. died of appendicitis at the Stillman Infirmary on Thursday, April 21 at the age of twenty. He prepared for college at the Newton High School, and rowed on the Wed Freshman crew until he was taken ill about two weeks ago. Funerl service were held Saturday afternoon at the Forest Hills Crematory Chapel.
