Swimming with Brookline.

The Harvard Swimming Team last night took part in a practice meet with the Brookline Swimming Club in the Brookline tank. After preliminary practice in swimming and diving a team relay race of 320 yards was held. Although defeated, the time of three minutes and thirty-three seconds was very creditable after the comparatively short practice which the men have had. The best individual time of the relay race was made by LeMoyne, who swam the fifty yards in 29 seconds.

After the relay race a water-polo match took place. The Brookline Swimming Club team, which is champion of New England, won by the score of 4 goals to 2. Harrison and LeMoyne played the best game for Harvard, but the excellent team-work of the Brookline team gave them the advantage. The teams were composed as follows: HARVARD.  BROOKLINE. Shepard, Farrelly, Lehman. f.  f., Rich, Mackenzie Farley, Christensen. f.  f., Boyce LeMoyne, e.  c., Eckler Dodge, Olds, Shepard. g.  g., O'Neil Harrison, Cunniff, g.  g., Hohn Palmer, Harrison. b.  b., McCormick

Goals: Brookline--Rich 2, Boyce, McCormick. Harvard--harrison, LeMoyne, Time of halves--20 minutes.
