Preliminary practice for the University and class lacrosse teams began yesterday afternoon. Thirty-five candidates reported, and were divided into two squads. The upper class squad was coached by H. H. Bennett '04, and the Freshmen by H. V. Blaxter '05.
The practice was light, consisting chiefly of stick work and throwing and catching the ball. The new men were instructed also in the rudiments of the game.
