The University hockey team last Saturday defeated the Springfield Training School on the Holmes Field rink, by the score of 9 to 0. Despite the poor condition of the ice, the game was very fast. The shooting of the University players was unusually accurate, and in team-work there was a noticeable improvement over the form displayed in the Brown game.
The summary: Score--Harvard, 9; Springfield, 0. Goals--Souther 5, Wilder 2, Townsend 2. Referee--R. Winsor '02. Time--20-minute halves.
