HOCKEY WITH BROWN TODAY.

On Holmes Field at 3 o'clock.--A Hard Game is Not Expected.

The University hockey team will play its second intercollegiate championship game of the season with Brown this afternoon at 3 o'clock on the Holmes Field rink. As the Brown team, this year, has not shown very great strength and has already been defeated by both Yale and Princeton, a very hard game is not expected this afternoon.

In practice yesterday the team played a practice game with a team composed of part of the Dorchester Athletic Association team and part of the University second team. In two twenty-minute halves the University team scored six goals. In the first half the play showed considerable team-work and fair ability to shoot goals. In the second half in which Kernan and Macleod, who have been out of the game for some time, took part, the team-work was not so good. Examinations prevented Clothier and Carr playing.

The line-up in the game this afternoon will be as follows: HARVARD.  BROWN. Newhall, f.  f., Marble Souther, f.  f., Chase Wilder, f.  f., Lane Townsend, f.  f., Paine Clothier, c.p.  c.p., Punt Carr, p.  p., Otis Ivy, g.  g., Hill

The present standing of each of the universities represented in the intercollegiate league is as follows:   Played.  Won.  Lost. Yale,  2  2  0 Harvard,  1  1  0 Princeton,  1  1  0 Columbia,  2  0  2 Brown,  2  0  2
