The University fencing team will meet Cornell at Ithaca tonight in a practice meet preparatory to the intercollegiate contest in New York on April 1 and 2. The three men of each team will fence with the three of the opposing team, making nine bouts in all. Cornell, for the last three years, has been strong in the intercollegiate meets, and has made a satisfactory showing in her competitions this year. Captain W. F. Bowman is perhaps the strongest member of the team, having won several first places in New York contests. The University team defeated Cornell last year in a dual meet, but was beaten at the intercollegiate contest in New York.
H. W. Holmes 1G., captain, A. Tyng '04, and W. MacLeod '05 compose the University team.
