We invite all men in the University to submit communications on subjects of timely interest The CRIMSON is not, however, responsible for the sentiments expressed in such communications as may be printed.
The chief reason for having an early drawing for Yard rooms by the class of 1905 was to give those men who are not rooming in the Yard a chance to apply for rooms before March 1, when the new leases to their present rooms have to be signed. The purpose of the whole Junior agitation for an early assignment was to bring these very outside men back into the Yard. Very few of these men who applied, got Yard rooms and accordingly the only object of an early drawing has been defeated.
As a Junior receives no preference over a sub-Freshman in the regular May drawing, his last chance of getting a Yard room is practically gone. Moreover it seems to me that Juniors should have first choice of all the rooms in the Yard and that there should be another drawing about the first of March for the class of 1905. 1905.
