We invite all men in the University to submit communications on subjects of timely interest. The CRIMSON is not, however, responsible for the sentiments expressed in such communications as may be printed.
To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
At times like the present, when everyone is much interested in current topics--the war in the east and the Panama canal question--we are apt to forget that at other times there may be very little interest in current events. It is at such times that clubs for the discussion of contemporary subjects break down.
It would seem, however, that much the result aimed at in the editorial in the CRIMSON, yesterday morning, might be obtained if we were to have at the Union a few speakers who could tell us something about topics of universal interest. An informal discussion might be held afterwards. UNDERGRADUATE.
