At a meeting of the Corporation yesterday the following appointments were made: W. C. Brenke, Austin teaching fellow in astronomy; L. A. Field, assistant in zoology. The resignation of J. F. Cole, instructor in astronomy, was accepted.
The Corporation voted to donate to the National Library, at Turin, Italy, which was partially destroyed by fire last spring, a collection of 100 duplicate books on Roman law and mediaeval history. By this act of assistance the University is expressing the obligations under which it was placed when a similar disaster affected the University Library in the middle of the eighteenth century.
