Elizabeth Agassiz House.

Since the breaking of the ground last spring, work on the Elizabeth Agassiz House at Radcliffe has progressed rapidly. This building is designed to be the club house of Radcliffe College, corresponding somewhat to the Union. It is situated on the corner of James and Mason streets facing the Radcliffe yard.

The exterior of the building is entirely completed except the finishing of the sunface of the marble trimmings. In the interior, plastering is now being done and preparations for work on the wood finish are being made. The heating and ventilating apparatus is in process of installation.

The club house is of Harvard brick, faced with white marble, four stories high with a basement, and includes reception and reading rooms, a dining room and a theatre seating 500 people. It is hoped that the building will be finished this spring, but it may not be ready for use until next fall. The total cost, when completed, will amount to about $100,000.
