Princeton Letter.

The university football team defeated Lehigh Saturday afternoon on University Field by the score of 60 to 0. Princeton's attack was at all times very aggressive, and although the defense was rather weak during the early part of the game, it increased in strength, so that during the second half Lehigh only rushed the ball nine yards. The practice of the past week has been secret with the exception of Thursday and Friday. Several changes have been made in the line-up, Ritter being shifted to left halfback, and Tenney, who has been playing quarterback on the scrub, taking his former position. In Saturday's game, Carothers was tried at centre with Short and Waller as guards.

The university gun team defeated the team of the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday at the Clearview Traps, Derby, Pa., in the second shoot of the season by the score of 200 targets to 178.

The freshman football team was defeated in both the games scheduled, losing to Hill School at Pottstown on Wednesday by the score of 17 to 0, and to Lawrenceville on Saturday by the score of 6 to 0.

Last Monday night a mass meeting held in Alexander Hall under the auspices of the Princeton Democratic Club was addressed by Hon. C. C. Black '78. Democratic nominee for Governor of New Jersey, Hon. A. S. Lewis '91, and Hon. R. R. Stevens, nominee for Congress.

The annual reception given to the entering class by the President of the university was held at Prospect last Thursday evening.
