The Rifle and Pistol Club will hold a re-entry championship rifle tournament this winter, open only to members of the club. First, second and third prize medals will be given, and the man who hands in the best ten scores will win the tournament. There will be no entrance fee, but a charge of 50 cents will be made for official score-cards containing space for five scores, on which all scores must be recorded. No restriction will be placed on the number of scores which may be handed in. The first shoot will be held tomorrow, and thereafter, until the Easter recess, shoots will be held every Monday and Friday evenings in the baseball cage. Any member of the University interested in rifle, revolver or pistol shooting, may become a member of the club on payment of the entrance fee of $3.
A challenge to a revolver match has been received from the members of Battery A in Boston, and if the permission of the Athletic Committee is obtained, the club will accept the challenge. The match for the best two out of three shoots will probably be held in February, the first two shoots being held here and at the South Armory in Boston. If a third shoot is necessary the place will be determined later. The Club and the Battery will each be represented by a team of four men.
