Twenty men reported on Holmes Field yesterday afternoon for University hockey practice, which consisted of two thirty-minute practice halves between the first and second teams, resulting in a victory for the first by the score of 9 goals to 0. The play of the first team was concerted and swift, and the men showed less tendency to play out of their proper positions. A coating of snow on the ice was responsible for some rather poor work in carrying and passing; the shooting, however, was good. As usual Carr and Ivy proved a strong defense for the University team.
The first team lined up as follows: Kernan, r.e.; Souther, r.c.; Newhall l.c.; Wilder, l.e.; Clothier, c.p.; Carr, p.; Ivy, g.
With the same line-up as in the practice yesterday, the University team will play a game of twenty-minute halves with Arlington High School on the Holmes Field rink this afternoon at 4 o'clock.
