The general excellence of the drawings is the chief feature which prevents the current number of the Lampoon from being far worse than usual. Among the drawings, the most clever is without doubt that on the over, and the centre page is also la good piece of work. a few of the shorter jokes are quite amusing; but the longer efforts and the poetry seem dull, even if one tries to read them as a relaxation from the now prevalent printed notes.
