The first shoot for the $100 Parker gun was held on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. Each of the twenty men who have entered the contest shot at 30 birds, thrown from a Magan trap at unknown angles. The next shoot will be held on Thursday, and the final shoots on Monday and Thursday of next week.

J. W. Bell '06 yesterday afternoon broke the former club record of 51 hits straight, made by himself and tied by L. Albright '03, last fall. He yesterday shot 62 straight, but immediately after wards E. E. du Point '03 made the excellent run of 89, thus establishing another record.
