The University cricket team defeated the Lynn cricket team yesterday afternoon, in the first regular game of the season by the score of 78 runs to 61. W. N. Taylor and Carter did the best batting for the University, and Bartlett made 37 out of the 61 runs for Lynn n. F. C. Taylor and Carter, who did the bowling, showed up remarkably well after so little practice.
