New Cercle Francais Play.

At a regular meeting of the Cercle Francais last night, "Le Barbier de Seville," by Beaumarchais was chosen for next year's play. This play, which was written in the latter part of the 18th century, is, in spirit, the embodiment of the French Revolution, as shown by the character of the Barbier. A departure from the plays given in the last two years is being made--the present piece being in prose, and of a very witty and pungent style. A great deal more acting will be required than in previous years. The chief difficulty lies in the part of the heroine. In order to meet this, all men knowing French and capable to acting female parts, especially from 1905 and 1906, are requested to call on the coach, Professor Bernard, Monday, April 27, at No. 175 Tremont street, Boston, between 9 a. m. and 10 p. m., as this will be the last chance of trying for this part.
