NEW HAVEN, CONN., March 6.--The University basketball team lost the last game of the season tonight to Yale by the score of 22 to 10. This victory ensures the championship for the year to Yale, but the final standing of the other teams in the intercollegiate league cannot be determined until the game between Columbia and Cornell next Thursday evening at New York.
The game was closely contested from the beginning, and at the end of the first half Yale led by but one point with the score 8 to 7. Early in the second half, however, the Yale five secured a lead and in the twenty minutes of play succeeded in adding fourteen points to its score and holding the University team down to the addition of three points. The game was marked by clean and fast play by both teams throughout. Yale's victory was due to superior teamwork and ability to throw baskets.
