The University baseball squad went out on the regular diamond yesterday, but the work was of short duration on account of the cold weather. The battery candidates had light practice while the rest of the squad was coached in fielding and base-running. Chesbro left on Friday to join the New York Americans, and the work yesterday was directed by Wendell '02.
As soon as the ground is sufficiently dry the Freshman squad will practice on the west diamond and the second squad will be called out again and will use the diamond now used by the Freshmen.
The University team training table was started at the Union yesterday and the following men taken on: Clarkson, Stillman, R. P. Kernan; Matthews, Coolidge and Randall.
