At a meeting of the Athletic Committee last night it was voted to permit no advertising outside of the University of any of the University games with the exception that for the large games placards may be placed on cars running to the place of the contest. The position taken by the Committee was that the University games are for members of the University and that any effort to solicit other attendance by advertising is undignified. The exception was made on the ground that the placards on the cars to be used by those going to the game would serve as a means of information, rather than advertising.
The Committee also voted to allow the baseball management to engage Keeler and Chesbro of the New York American League team to coach the baseball squad in the cage work. Permission too was granted the fencing team to arrange a match with Yale.
