Work has been commenced on the new baseball diamond which is to be located on the old football field. The home plate of the new diamond will be situated in the centre of the site occupied by the old south stand, and second base will be laid out to the north. Stands seating about 5,000 people will be erected around the east, west and south sides of the field.
