At a meeting of the Graduate Club last night in Phillips Brooks House, Mr. Robert A. Woods, of the South End House, Boston, spoke on "The University Settlement as a Social Laboratory," tracing the aims of the Settlement and its work in investigating home life and educational questions. He also discussed the position of the laborer in regard to the labor question and explained the relation of politics to the poor.

The following men were appointed by the Club to attend the meeting of the Federation of Graduate Clubs of America, to the held at Radcliffe on December 29 and 30: N. F. Hall 4G., H. N. Davis 1G., J. H. McClellan 1G., C. H. Johnston 2G., and E. W. Pahlow 2G.

H. N. Davis 2G., was elected vice-president of the Club in place of A. F. Blakeslee 5G., resigned; and W. M. Dey 1G., secretary, in place of H. N. Davis. A. F. Blakeslee and C. T. Burnett 6G., were elected to fill vacancies on the executive committee.
