At the final trial last night to pick the team which will debate with Yale in December, M. E. Weldy 3L., E. M. Rabenold '04, and T. H. Reed 3L. were chosen. H. A. Hirshberg '06, F. Q. Morton '06, and A. B. Weiler 2L. were retained as a second team from which the alternate will later be chosen by the coach, A. S. Hayes '91. The Coolidge prize of $100 was awarded to E. M. Rabenold '04, for having done the best work in all three trials. J. Daniels '04, presided. The judges were Professor G. P. Baker '87, I. L. Winter '86, R. L. Lyman '03, S. R. Wrightington '97, and I. Grossman '02. The University has chosen to defend the negative side of the question submitted by Yale: "Resolved, that the history of trades-unionism in the United States for the past twenty years shows a general tendency detrimental to the best interests of the country."
