LIGHT PRACTICE YESTERDAY.

Only Signal Work for Regular Players.-- Entire Team in Good Condition.

The University eleven was given very light practice yesterday and the men who played in the Pennsylvania game, with the exception of Mills, had no scrimmage. All the men are, however, in the best of condition except for a few scratches, and all except Bowditch, Hurley and Clothier were out yesterday. The backs were given a long punting practice and the linesmen were coached in falling on the ball. Guild, fullback on last year's Freshman team, joined the squad. In the signal practice, the University eleven lined up as follows: l.e., Montgomery; l.t., Meier; l.g., LeMoyne; c., Parkinson; r.g., A. Marshall; r.t., Knowlton; r.e., Burgess; q.b., C. B. Marshall; l.h.b., Nichols; r.h.b., Nesmith; f.b., Schoellkopf.

Among the graduate coaches on the field were: N. W. Cabot '98, J. Dunlop '96, G. W. Bouve '98, C. A. Barnard 3L., D. S. Dean '91, W. A. M. Burden '00, W. C. Forbes '92. O. F. Cutts, '03L., who was recently injured in a railway accident was present on crutches.

The only scrimmage of the afternoon was a short one between the University team substitutes and the second eleven, during which the second team scored one touchdown. During the first of the period, the second gained at will through the disjointed defense of the substitutes. Noyes's run of 40 yards, on a double pass, to the second's 15-yard line was the feature of the practice.

Following is the line-up of the two teams in the scrimmage: SUBSTITUTES.  SECOND ELEVEN. Blagden. l.e.  r.e., Pruyn Lehmann. l.t.  r.t., Davie Carroll, l.g.  r.g., Pierce Sugden. c.  c., Bleakie Coburn, Wilder, r.g.  l.g., McFadon Derby, r.t.  l.t., Squires Shurtleff. r.e.  l.e., Bartels Noyes, q.b.  q.b., Leonard Randall, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Hurd Dodge, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Morris.
