Freshmen vs. Exeter.

This afternoon at 3.30 o'clock the Freshman football team will play its first game in Cambridge on the University field. The game will be a hard one as Exeter has an exceptionally strong team, averaging 175 pounds, and so far has defeated Tufts, Bates, Bowdoin and New Hampshire, without being scored upon.

The Freshman eleven has been handicapped this year by a lack of heavy material, and the squad has been unusually small. The spirit of the men until recently has been far from energetic, and the development of the team has consequently been slow. Yesterday B. G. Waters '94 helped in the coaching. Infusing so much spirit and dash into the playing that in the line-up against the second eleven, the first team played a fairly creditable game.

The line-up for today's game: 1907.  EXETER. Sargent, l.e.  r.e., Elder Brill, l.t.  r.t., Porter or Macklin Sibley, l.g.  r.g., Allen or Seldon Bacon, c.  c., Bankart Upham, r.g.  l.g., MacFadyen Pierce, r.t.  l.t., Marshall Hall, r.e.  l.e., Vaughan Sartwell, q.b.  q.b., Heim or Murphy Leatherbee, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Hart or Elliott Wright, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Green Reynolds, f.b.  f.b., McCormick
