Except for those professors who are on leave, few changes in the Faculties from last year have been announced. Those on sabbatical leave are Professors A. B. Hart, C. S. Minot, Barrett Wendell, C. L. Smith, G. H. Palmer, Josiah Royce, C. H. Toy, F. W. Taussig, J. H. Beale, and Mr. J. L. Coolidge. Professors Minot and Palmer will be absent for only the first half year, and Professor Royce for only the second half-year. In the absence of Regent Bartlett, who is to be abroad for rest, Dr. Thomas A. Jaggar has been appointed Chairman of the Parietal Board.
Assistant Professor L. E. Gates of the English department, has resigned from the faculty, and Dr. F. N. Robinson has been elected an Assistant Professor of English. Mr. Pierre la Rose has also resigned from the English department. English 22, however, will be given as usual, although the precise selection of instructors has not yet been made.
Other new appointments are those of Mr. A. E. Kenelly as Professor of Electrical Engineering, Mr. J. B. Fletcher as Assistant Professor of Comparative Literature, Mr. C. H. C. Wright as Assistant Professor of French, and Dr. J. D. M. Ford as Assistant Professor of Romance Languages.
