The University crew rowed yesterday in the order which, except for one or two positions, is likely to be maintained for the race. The crew left the Boathouse in the following order: Stroke, McGrew; 7, Bullard; 6, Shuebruk; 5, Ayer; 4, Foster; 3, Bancroft; 2, Swift; bow, James; cox., Jackson.
The crew rowed upstream for over a mile and then down to the Longwood bridge and back without the second eight. E. C. Storrow '89 aided Mr. Higginson in coaching from the launch. Before returning to the Boat-house, Bullard at seven changed places with Bancroft at three.
The work was more encouraging than it has been for some time. The crew showed special improvement in being lively at the finish of the stroke.
