SECOND BROWN GAME.

Stillman and Hatch to Pitch.--Closer Game than First One Expected.

The University nine will play the second game of the season with Brown this afternoon on Andrews Field, Providence, at 3.30 o'clock. Harvard won the first game much more easily than was expected by a score of 8 to 1, partly owing to the fact that Brown put in the second pitcher. Since then Brown has lost a second game to Yale by a score of 6 to 3, and has also won from Yale 11 to 7 and from Cornell 4 to 0. The game with Yale was won by hard hitting, and Cornell was defeated by fast base running, good infielding and by the excellent work of Hatch in the box. Brown was shut out for the second time by Holy Cross on Saturday, by a score of 11 to 0, Holy Cross making 14 hits against Leland, Brown's pitcher in the first game with Harvard. Hatch will pitch for Brown today.

The batting orders will be as follows: HARVARD.  BROWN. Wendell, l.f.  3b., Foulder. Coolidge, s.s.  2b., Gray. Clarkson, c.f.  c., Phillips. Randall, 1b.  r.f., Metcalf. Skilton, 2b.  s.s., Woodsum. Stillman, p.  c.f., Barry. Daly, r.f.  1b., Belding. Carr, 3b.  l.f., Mackinney. Kernan, c.  p., Hatch.
