University Rowing.

The university eights took an easy row yesterday, and attention was given rather to form than to speed. The crews took two stretches of a mile each in the lower basin and in both, Ayer's crew had the advantage. Bullard's crew showed the bad results of a second shake-up on account of the loss of Francis, who is threatened with appendicitis. The loss of Francis, following immediately upon Bullard's accident, and the consequent changes have weakened this crew to a considerable extent. Colby replaced Francis at seven, Lloyd took Bullard's regular seat at five and Sanger was put in place of Lloyd at three. the crew was not together and failed to stand steadily on the stretchers.

Today or tomorrow a time row over the three and three eights mile course will probably be held.

The orders, as they stand at present, are given below. those not mentioned, except Bullard, Francis, and Jackson have been dropped from the squad.

Stroke, McGrew; 7, Colby; 6, Shuebruk; 5, Lloyd; 4, Derby; 3, Sanger; 2, Phillips; bow, Covel; cox., Ivy.

Stroke, Foster; 7, Ayer; 6, Swift; 5, James; 4, Bancroft; 3, Gregg; 2, Smith; bow, Hartwell; cox., Otis.
