Fact and Rumor.

The Memorial Society has elected the following officers for the ensuing year: President, Professor C. E. Norton '46; vice-president, W. C. Lane '81; secretary, R. Pier '03; treasurer, C. G. Loring '03.

The celebration of the one hundredth anniversary of the Christian Association which was founded in 1802 will be held December 16. Leading men of nearly all the college Christian associations will be invited.

Professor Woodworth will serve on the New York State Survey this summer. Special work on glacial geology will be studied in the Hudson River valley. Members of the University who are fitted for the work may accompany him.

The points won by the colleges in the New England intercollegiate meet at Worcester on Saturday were as follows: Amherst, 36; Dartmouth, 28 1-4; Brown, 19; M. I. T., 16; Williams, 15; Bowdoin, 9; University of Maine, 6; Trinity, 5 1-2.

The Library has just received a shipment of twenty valuable books on architecture. The most important of these is an elaborate edition of works of art of the "Renaissance in France" by Leon Palustre in three volumes. These books will be catalogued and sent to the architectural library in Robinson Hall.

An enlarged picture of the crew of 1868 has been presented to the Union by Mr. F. H. Appleton '69, and has been hung in the training table room. The crew was composed of six men instead of eight and rowed without a coxswain. The crew was made up of the following men: bow, G. W. Holdrege '69; 2, W. W. Richards '68; 3, J. W. McBurney '69; 4, W. H. Simmons '69; 5, R. C. Watson '69; stroke, A. P. Loring '69.
