Definite plane for the erection of the new Cambridge hotel, which the proposed widening of DeWolfe street has delayed since last fall, will probably be made early in June. Within two weeks the question of widening the street should be settled and then the stock company in charge of building the new hotel will immediately make final decisions.
If the petition for the parkway is successful and the street widened. Quincy Hall will be removed. This change would enlarge Quincy square and give the hotel which will be built where the College Inn now stands, a prominent and desirable location on the corner of Massachusetts avenue and Bow street. In case DeWolfe street is not widened it is not certain that the hotel will be built.
