The twelfth annual interscholastic tennis tournament under the auspices of the tennis association was played on the Jarvis Field courts Saturday as far as the semi-final round. The playing was good considering the cold and windy weather. The division of points for the team championship is very close between Newton High, Volkmann, and Andover, so that results of todays matches will decide which school wins. The standing of the schools thus far counting one point for each match won is as follows: Newton High, 8; Volkmann, 7; Andover, 6; Boston Latin, 3; Browne and Nichols, 2; Malden High, 2; Hopkinson, 1.

The semi-finals will be played this morning at 10.30 o'clock between H. Whitman of Volkmann School and H. Stetson of Andover, and T. Dorman of Volkmann and C. Plimpton of Newton High School. The two winners will play the final match this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
