At a recent meeting of the Corporation it was vot d, on recommendation of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to make a further assignment of scholarships for 1901 to 1902 as follows: Class of 1835 Scholarship, F. W. Johnston '04; Class of 1867 Scholarship, W. B. Russell '05; Eveleth Scholarship to be divided between F. L. Candee and S. Curtis, special students; C. L. Jones Scholarships, L. A. Davison '02, P. H. Linehan '02, A. B. Wolfe '02, C. B. Longhead '03, P. F. Strout '03, W. G. Cogswell '04; Matthews Scholarship, O. C. Mackay '04.
The C. L. Jones Scholarships, which are included in these assignments, have just become available through the death of Mrs. Jones, who held the income of the estate during her life. These Scholarships, with an income of $200 on each of six shares, were founded from a bequest of $30,000 made by Charles L. Jones of Cambridge.
