The Freshman baseball team defeated Brookline High School yesterday afternoon by a score of 10 to 2. The Freshmen showed a marked improvement over their first two games, particularly in batting, but they did not bunch their hits well. Adams made a home run, and Kernan and Mitchell each got a threebase hit. The Brookline team was weak and made errors at the most critical times. The Freshmen showed a tendency to be caught napping on the bases and lost time by watching the ball after hitting it instead of running at once. Mason, behind the bat, was weak on his throws and allowed many men to steal second. Smith pitched a very creditable game. The fielding of the Freshman team was fast and clean. This afternoon the Freshmen will play Boston Latin School on Soldiers Field at 4 o'clock. The Freshmen will play as follows: Mason, c.; Timmins, p.; Robeson, 1b.; Kernan, 2b.; Sanger, 3b.; Greenough, s.s.; Adams, r.f.; Maguire, c.f.; Mitchell, l.f.
