Overseers' Meeting.

At a meeting yesterday in Boston the Board of Overseers voted to concur with the Corporation in electing Herbert Weir Smyth, Ph.D., an Eliot Professor of Greek literature; in appointing Charles Palache, Ph.D., assistant professor of mineralogy, for five years from September 1, 1902; in the appointment of Denman Waldo Ross, Ph.D., as lecturer on the theory of design, from September 1, 1902.

The appointment of the following instructors from September 1, 1902, was approved: Gustavus Howard Maynadier, Ph.D., in English; William Allan Neilson, Ph.D., in English; Roland Burrage Dixon, Ph.D., anthropology; George Sharp Raymer, A.B., E.M., in mining; Charles Henry White, S.B., in mining and metallurgy; Frank Lowell Kennedy, A.B., S.B., in mechanical drawing.
