BASKETBALL TEAM WINS.

Princeton Outplayed and Defeated in a Fast Game.--Score 28 to 21.

The University basketball team defeated Princeton last night in the Gymnasium by the score of 28 to 21. From the beginning of the game Harvard outclassed Princeton in team work and speed. The entire game was very rough and marked by many fouls on both sides.

Harvard was especially strong in covering her opponents closely on the defensive and although Princeton played with accuracy and life, her team showed the effects of the hard game with Yale on Thursday.

By excellent offensive work Harvard kept the ball most of the time in Princeton's territory and although Princeton was more accurate in tossing goals, Harvard kept the lead throughout.

The line-up: HARVARD.  PRINCETON. Clark, r.f.  r.f., Wrightson, Carter. Smith, l.f.  l.f., Langdon. Randall, c.  c., Whitehouse. Fosdick, l.g.  l.g., McCoy. Hanavan, r.g.  r.g., Roper, Wrightson.

Score -- Harvard 28; Princeton 21. Goals from floor--Harvard; Randall 3, Hanavan 2, Clark 2, Fosdick. Princeton, Wrightson 5, McCoy. Goals from fouls--Harvard, Randall 3, Smith. Princeton, Wrightson 3.
