The intercollegiate golf tournament will be held this spring from Tuesday, May 6, to Saturday, May 10, at Garden City, Long Island. The same five universities, Harvard Yale, Princeton, Pennsylvania and Columbia, which were represented last year, have been entered. Team matches, as heretofore, will be played for the intercollegiate championship.
Harvard's prospects for this year are very good. Candidates will be called out and practice will begin as soon as the weather permits. Of last year's team, C. T. Richardson '02, H. B. Hollins, Jr., '04, H. Lindsley '02, A. M. Brown '03, and W. Wadsworth '02 are still in College. Among other promising candidates are U. A. Murdock '04, W. W. Hoffman '02, W. E. Egan '05, H. C. Egan '05, P. A. Proal '05, A. P. Thornton '03, M. Tilden '05 and G. Wheelock '05.
At Yale, Captain Hitchcock and C. H. Jennings are the only men left of last year's team. Other candidates are Reid, Reyburn, Wal bridge, Byers, Campbell, Hull, Butts, McNeale, Alsop, Tyler, Carroll and Frazier.
Two of Princeton's team are eligible this year, Captain Wilson and P. Pyne. Most promising new men are F. O. Reinhardt and A. Poole.
Pennsylvania still has from last year's team, H. K. Hill, N. A. Vaux and J. G. Lindsley. Beside these men there are about thirty candidates for the team.
