During the last three months the Library has received 2696 volumes by gifts and purchase. These books, on subjects connected with almost every branch of learning, have come from the principal publishing houses in America, and from foreign countries including England, France, Germany, Italy and Norway and Sweden. Among the more interesting and important acquisitions are a number of books relative to the invention of printing; 150 volumes on "Catacombs and Christian Archaeology of Rome;" early editions of books and pamphlets by Swift; and a Scandinavian collection of 315 volumes.
