The arrangements for the international cable chess match between Harvard, Yale, Columbia and Princeton, and Cambridge and Oxford have been practically completed. The English team will play in the London Chess Club and the American team will probably play at the Boston Athletic Association. The English team will be composed of Mason, Lee, Mills, Bellingham, Ward, Jacobs, Blake, Trenchard and two others not yet decided upon. The make-up of the American team has not yet been determined.
The chess team was defeated by the Boston Press Club on Friday night by a score of 5 to 2. The team will play Somerville Y. M. C. A. in the Union tonight.
