Practice for the University and Freshman nines is well under way. The battery candidates for both nines are working together, warming up gradually. Yesterday, in addition to fielding, candidates for the University team were given work in scooping the ball, and in running down base-runners. The men are still careless in not getting their heels together and in throwing while off their balance.
