All candidates retained on the University basketball squad are expected to report for practice on Monday evening, January 5. Five teams will be kept throughout the season, and will be coached by J. W. Gilles 1L., and W. A. Monten '04, who was assistant coach last year of the University of Minnesota team. The management has secured J. M. Reilly of the Webster team as the professional coach for this year. He will begin work about the first of February. Mr. Reilly coached the team last year for about three weeks and developed its ability noticeably.
The management has arranged to have seats built in the Gymnasium for the Princeton game on January 17 to accommodate about six hundred people.
After the Christmas recess the Freshman squad will hold their practice in the afternoons, as the University squad will use the Gymnasium every night instead of three times a week as heretofore.
