INTERCOLLEGIATE CHESS.

Tournament to be Played in New York on December 29, 30 and 31.

The annual intercollegiate chess tournament between Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Columbia will be held at the Columbia Grammar School, fifty-first street, near Madison avenue, New York, on December 29, 30 and 31. The schedule of play for the three days is as follows:

Monday, December 29-Columbia vs. Princeton; Harvard vs. Yale.

Tuesday, December 30-Columbia vs. Harvard; Yale vs. Princeton.

Wednesday, December 31-Columbia vs. Yale; Harvard vs. Princeton.

Each college will be represented by a team of four men. The Harvard team will play in the following order: C. T. Rice '04, P. W. Bridgeman '04, W. G. Clerk '05, P. S. Estes '04. Substitutes, L. P. Carr '04, C. French '06.

The other teams will be picked from the following men:

Yale-N. C. Hull, A. Sandford, J. F. Sawin, E. B. Hull, C. H. Owen, E. B. Adams.

Princeton-A. J. Pilgrim, J. H. Hankinson, C. S. Richardson, L. G. Bissell, L. M. Schoonmaker, S. P. Brown, P. M. Brasher.

Columbia-F. B. Barshell, G. A. Ellis, H. A. Keeler, R. C. T. Schroeder, F. W. Sewall G. W. Tucker, Jr., J. T. Olchinsky, A. S. Solow, B. R. von Sholly.
