The election of Senior Class Day Officers yesterday resulted as follows:
Secretary--R. Ernst.
First Marshal--R. Derby.
Second Marshal--E. Bowditch, Jr.
Third Marshal--R. P. Kernan.
Orator--A. Black.
Poet--L. Warner.
Ivy Orator--R. W. Child.
Odist--R. Inglis.
Chorister--O. G. Frantz.
The voting was not heavy; only 383 men out of 570 qualified voters cast their ballots.
The rule governing the election of Marshals was: "Every elector shall vote for three candidates for Marshals, indicating his preference for First, Second and Third Marshal. Of the three elected, that candidate receiving the highest number of votes for First Marshal shall be First Marshal; of the other two elected that one whose total vote for First and Second Marshal shall be greater shall be Second Marshal; the other candidate elected shall be Third Marshal."
Following are the number of votes received by each candidate: By a vote of 295 to 88 the Class decided in favor of wearing caps and gowns after May 1. The Alumni Committee's plan for Commencement changes was not approved, the vote standing 119 for and 259 against. The election of the Class, Class Day, Spread and Photographic Committees will be held tomorrow.
