CO-OPERATIVE INCORPORATION.

Australian Ballot on November 25.--Annual Meeting Postponed.

At the meeting of the Co-operative Society yesterday evening it was voted 68 to 17, that by way of amendment to the constitution of the Society a corporation be organized under the laws of Massachusetts, taking the name "Harvard Co-operative Society," and that the present Society transfer to the corporation all assets now belonging to the Society. It was provided in the vote, however, that this conveyance of the property of the Society shall not be made unless the Incorporators shall conform to the scheme as detailed in the letter of Professor Ames and six others to Professor J. H. Gardiner on October 31, and unless the said corporation shall assume all the indebtedness of the Society, and conform to certain other conditions.

This vote, however, will not take effect until it shall be approved by a majority of those members of the Society voting at an Australian ballot to be held on November 25. It was also voted to post pone the regular annual meeting of the Society until December 3.
