The Symphony Concert.

The second concert of the season was given last night in Sanders Theatre by the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The programme opened with an overture by Rimsky-Korsakoff which in its brilliant orchestration and gloomy harmony was distinctly Russian. The spontaneity of the minuetto from the Bizet suite and the variety of tone effects in the last movement of the Huber Symphony were the most striking features of the concert. Mr. Anton von Rooy sang artistically and was recalled several times.
