The University Musical Clubs have been receiving regular coaching in preparation for the Harvard-Yale dual concert at New Haven next Friday, and have now reached their final form.

The material for the Glee Club this year has been good and very abundant. A large number of men were retained at the first trials and these have been gradually cut down. The trials, however, were held rather later than usual and the time has necessarily been limited for coaching the men and their singing lacks finish. The club has been coached by Mr. G. L. Osgood '91.

The Banjo Club has had excellent material and the men have worked with good spirit. The club is now fairly well developed and has been coached by Mr. G. L. Lansing of Boston.

The practice of the Mandolin Club was rather late in beginning, but the men are playing pretty well together, though they lack precision and expression. Mr. Lansing has been coaching and steady work will be needed to bring the club into final form.
