In the practice yesterday afternoon, the Freshman eleven showed considerable improvement in the spirit and general character of their play. The backs started well together, and ran hard and low, so that four touchdowns were made against the second without much difficulty. The defense, however, still showed an absence of aggressiveness, particularly towards the end of the line-up, when the second made several good gains through the line.
