The Sophomore Debating Club was organized last night with forty-three members. The following officers were elected for the first half-year: President, G. G. Smith; vice-president, W. H. Davis; secretary, A. E. Small; treasurer, J. F. Dore, Jr.
The question adopted for the next meeting, Friday, October 24, is: "Resolved, That the demands of the striking coal miners are justifiable."
