Class Hockey.

All the class hockey teams are now practicing daily on the Holmes Field rink and at Spy Pond. Of the three upper classes, the Seniors seem to have the best outlook as four of last year's team and a member of the team of two years ago have returned. There is some promising material among the eighteen candidates, and with the improvement that is likely to take place this week, a strong team should be developed.

About twenty-five men started work for the Junior team last week, but the squad has since been cut down to less than half. Only three vacancies have to be filled and with fair material to pick from, the team should prove at least as effective as it was a year ago.

Three, and possibly four, old players will be on the Sophomore team. Nearly twenty candidates are now on the squad, and though the men have been out but a short time, they already show a fair amount of team play. The defense, however, is decidedly better than the offense as the forwards are not aggressive enough.

The Freshman team has some able material, and with a little more training should become very formidable. The work of the team as a whole is probably more highly developed than that of any of the other class teams. A game may be arranged with Pomfret School on Saturday, and later with the Brown and Yale freshmen.
